Hillsborough move for Teale

Sheffield Wednesday have signed winger Gary Teale on a free transfer from Derby.

The Scotland international, out of contract at Pride Park, has signed a two-year deal at Hillsborough.

Wednesday manager Alan Irvine said: "Gary is very experienced, he has played at high levels including international games and can play wide right and wide left. He believes we can be at the top of the league and without that belief he wouldn't be here."

Teale, Irvine's sixth summer signing, started his career at Clydebank in 1996 and after a spell at Ayr moved south to Wigan in 2001. He signed for Derby for £600,000 in 2007 and won promotion with both English clubs.
