The agent of Keisuke Honda has revealed CSKA Moscow have received a number of enquiries about the Japan international, but no concrete offers as yet.

Honda impressed visiting scouts during the World Cup, with Arsenal manager praising him and Liverpool reportedly keeping tabs on him also

Other teams apparently interested are French champions Olympique Marseille and Italian giants AC Milan but the player has already stated his interest in playing in the Premier League.

Honda’s agent, Kees Ploegsma, told Sport.co.uk: “There is no new news regarding Honda.

“He is currently under contract with CSKA Moscow and there has not been any serious offers for Keisuke, only enquires.

“I think he would suit the Premier League because he is a very good footballer. He could play anywhere in the world.

“I think he can cope with the physical nature of the Premier League. If he can cope in the Russian league, than he can cope in England,” he added.

The two English sides have been long-term admirers of the player, trying to snap him up while playing in Holland for VVV Venlo.

CSKA won the battle for Honda’s signature then, though, but look destined to let him go this time after he stated his desire to test himself at one of the top leagues in Europe.
