Notts County have signed experienced defender Jon Harley on a two-year contract.

The 30-year-old becomes the fifth new signing at Meadow Lane this summer and arrives on a free transfer having left Watford at the end of last season.

"I am delighted to be here. It is always hard leaving a club and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Watford, but I am relishing the challenge here at Notts County next season," said Harley.

"I was impressed by what the manager had to offer and I am just looking forward to getting stuck in now and helping the club continue their forward momentum from last season."

Harley will link up with his new team-mates next week when they return from a pre-season tour of Austria.
