Wolevs' fitness boost

Published Add your comment

Defender Stephen Ward and midfielder Stephen Hunt have given Wolves a double fitness boost.

Ward is set to join in with full training for the first time since undergoing a summer knee operation. Hunt, signed during the close season from Hull, has been able to cast aside the protective boot he has had to wear since foot surgery and is stepping up his rehabilitation work.

Ward said: "Thursday was the first day I've done the warm-up with the rest of the lads and joined in some of the running. I'm probably not far away from joining in with the ball work now."

Hunt added: "Hopefully the protective boot has gone for good now. I'm out of it for the first time in 12 weeks.

"Now it's a matter of building my leg back up, working hard and trying to get fit."
