Peterborough boss Gary Johnson will assess trialists Franck Queudrue and Liam Chilvers in Monday`s pre-season friendly against Aston Villa.

Former Birmingham defender Quedrue played 45 minutes in Saturday`s 3-1 win over Blue Square Premier outfit Rushden at Nene Park.

Centre-back Chilvers is out of contract at Preston and Johnson will make a decision on their futures this week.

He said: "We believe that we may need a bit of experience at the back and there is no doubt that these two players offer that.

"They will both play against Aston Villa on Monday night and be involved at Gillingham on Tuesday night.

"I will then have to make a decision on where we go from there, but they have done well and we will see what happens. You can see they have a bit of quality."
