The Golden State Warriors took control of the Western Conference Finals once again as they obliterated the Houston Rockets in Game 3 on Sunday night.

The reigning champions overcame the Rockets with a massive 126-85 blowout at Oracle Arena to take a 2-1 series lead.

It was the team's biggest playoff victory in franchise history and they also set an NBA record with a 16th consecutive win at home in the postseason.

Stephen Curry exploded back into life as he posted a game-high 35 points and finally broke out of his shooting slump.

The superstar point guard was red-hot in the third quarter as he dropped 18 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting.

Kevin Durant added 25 points, six rebounds and six assists and the Warriors now have all the momentum going into Tuesday night's Game 4.

KD believes the next matchup will be their biggest game of the playoffs so far and has warned his teammates not to lose focus after enjoying a huge win.

“Next game is gonna be the toughest game in the playoffs,” Durant said in an interview with the Inside The NBA crew. “We can’t get satisfied because we’re at home or we won, that we’re up 2-1.”

“Tomorrow there’s gonna be a good film session in practice. Mentally you just gotta stay locked-in, it’s easy to get comfortable.”

The Dubs were beaten by 22 points in Game 2 after opening the series with a dominant win and Durant is hoping to avoid the same complacency that crept in during that encounter.

Seeing Curry find his groove again will make life easier for him and the rest of the team as it takes their offence to another level.

They seem to play with more energy when their sharpshooter is playing at his best and the crowd always responds to it by creating an electric atmosphere.

With a formidable home record in the playoffs, it'll be a tough task for the Rockets to secure the win they need on the road to get back in the series.

There was a real expectation that this would be a hugely competitive series but instead, we've seen three double-digit victories and the Warriors now look like running away with it.

A 17th straight home playoff win would give them a 3-1 lead and leave their Texas-based opponents with an almost impossible mountain to climb.

Houston's season will be on the line in Game 4 but for Golden State, another finals appearance edges closer.
