Latics sweating on duo

Oldham are monitoring Kirk Millar and Jon Worthington after the duo sustained injuries.

Teenage winger Millar limped out of friendly defeat by Liverpool with a calf problem while midfielder Worthington was withdrawn from the squad after suffering a groin strain in training on Friday, but there was better news for manager Paul Dickov in the shape of Andy Holdsworth, who continued to build up his fitness by getting an hour under his belt against Liverpool.

"When you consider Andy has been out for seven months what he did was phenomenal," said Dickov.
