Stockport manager Paul Simpson is hoping to bolster his squad further before the start of the npower League Two campaign.
Mark Lynch, Jordan Rose and Barry Conlon have all arrived at the club since the former Shrewsbury boss took over at Edgeley Park earlier this month, with the latter netting his first goal for the club in last weekend's 3-0 friendly win at Skelmersdale.
Simpson told the club's official website: "We will need to look at several areas. We have had a couple of left-sided defenders and strikers in to have a look at them and we are hoping to look at a few more over the next few days as we need to strengthen across these areas."
But Simpson accepts it will take time to rebuild the club and is ready for any challenges which await him in the coming months.
He added: "I am very happy with everything so far since I came to the club but this is a long-term situation, and I am under no illusion that everything will happen within six months. We have to rebuild the club from the bottom and we are looking forward to doing just that."
