Barnsley have completed the signing of Argentinian striker Jeronimo Morales Neumann from Estudiantes.

The 24-year-old, who brings the total number of summer arrivals at Oakwell to seven, has signed a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Manager Mark Robins said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to bring Jeronimo to Oakwell. I was very pleased to have the chance to get him over for a closer look. He has impressed me and I cannot wait to work more with him."

He added: "Jeronimo will bring something extra to our attack next season. He has pace and can play anywhere across the front. He's an exciting player and one we can nurture."

Jeronimo started his career with River Plate before joining San Lorenzo in 2007. He then made the move to Instituto de Cordoba and his nine goals in 21 league matches during the 2008/2009 campaign caught the eye of Estudiantes.

He featured for Estudiantes throughout the 2009/2010 season in the Primera Division and also in the Copa Libertadores - the South American Champions League.
