Published Add your comment

Torquay have secured the services of Chesterfield striker Martin Gritton on a six-month loan.

The 32-year-old returns for a second spell at Plainmoor having netted 26 goals in 103 appearances for the Gulls between 2002-2004.

Gritton was given permission by the Spireites to play for Torquay in some pre-season friendlies, and he scored in the 3-0 win over Western-super-Mare on Wednesday night. Gritton told Chesterfield's official website: "I am looking forward to getting some regular football under my belt."
