Bolton Wanderers are aiming to further improve their squad with the fourth and fifth signings of the trasfer window in the next couple of days. Manager Owen Coyle has made it no secret that he would still like to strenghthen his squad before the opening day of the season.
One deal that looks certain to happen in the next 24 hours is the arrival of striker Ivan Klasnic from Nantes. The Croatian striker turned out for the Lancashire outfit last season and proved a hit scoring eight goals in 27 appearances. Sources close to the club speculate that Klasnic will agree another season long loan deal within the next 24 hours.
The club had tried to sign Klasnic earlier in the summer but were put off by his wage demands but, with Nantes failing to secure promotion back to the top division in France, they desperately need the striker off their wage bill.
It is also expected that Bolton will revive their interest in young Real Madrid striker Rodrigo Moreno, but will once again have to go head-to-head with Benfica.
Wanderers stole another Madrid starlet in Marcos Alonso just last week but their hopes of grabbing Rodrigo seem tougher as the Portuguese side want him as part of the deal that saw Angel Di Maria join Jose Mourinho's team last month.
"The initial conversation we had with Madrid was that he would be involved in the deal with Alonso,” said Coyle on the deal. “Then we found he was supposed to be going to Benfica as part of the Di Maria deal. But I don’t think that has happened yet"
“He’s a very talented player and we’re always looking to bring that type to the club. We’re not any further forward with it, there’s nothing concrete to say, but I can say he’s one of a number of players we’re interested in.”
