Angel Rangel's agent is hopeful the Swansea defender will soon be able to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old right-back was the subject of an undisclosed bid from Blackpool on Friday. That was rejected by Swans chairman Huw Jenkins, although Ian Holloway is expected to come back in with an increased offer which could satisfy the npower Championship club.
Rangel, who has one year remaining on his current deal at the Liberty Stadium, has previously attracted interest from top-flight clubs including Fulham, and his agent and brother-in-law is keen to see a move come to fruition.
Asked what Rangel makes of Blackpool's interest, Xavi Cruz told the South Wales Evening Post: "It is the chance for Angel to fulfil his dream, which is to play in the Premier League."
He added: "Angel wants to be in the Premier League as soon as possible. We have been talking with the chairman (Jenkins) during the last week and he understands the situation because this is not the first time that Angel has had the chance to play in the Premier League."
Asked what would happen if a transfer cannot be negotiated, Cruz added: "We don't think about this option because we trust the chairman, and he said he would do the best for the club and the player. To play in the Premier League is the dream of Angel's life."
