Pompey agree double deal

Published Add your comment

Portsmouth have agreed deals to sign Jamie Ashdown and Stephen Jordan.

Goalkeeper Ashdown is re-signing for the club having been released at the end of last season and defender Jordan is a free agent after leaving Burnley.

"We've agreed terms with Jamie and Stephen - now it is about making sure we can lodge the contracts," boss Steve Cotterill told The News.

"That will be with the Football League and everything is in their hands now. We've done all we can on that one, all we can do now is sit and wait. Hopefully we'll get the green light and the pair of them can be in the frame for Coventry."
