Udinese defender Christian Zapata's agent has admitted his agent wants to move to Arsenal.
However, he also revealed he has had no contact with the Premier League club.
The Colombian has been linked with the Gunners this summer and they are keen to add another centre back to their squad.
And the 23-year-old is highly rated in Italy and would provide world class competition for Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny.
Massimo Italiani told talkSPORT: "His will to move to England is just a desire and nothing more. I have read reports of some negotiations but I have never talked with Arsenal.
"For the moment there are no negotiations concerning my client. He is a Udinese player.
"There is still a long time left in the transfer window and anything can happen, but he is only concentrating on working hard for Udinese," he added.
Arsenal have already brought in Koscielny as they look to boost their central defensive options but still remain short at the back.
William Gallas, Mikael Silvestre and Sol Campbell have all been released and Philippe Senderos has joined Fulham - as well as Johann Djourou being injured.
