Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp is set to reignite his interest in January target Scott Loach.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in the winter window, with Spurs and Arsenal the leading contenders to bring Loach to the top flight.
Watford fended off the interest however, keeping hold of the former England U21 international as he went on to make 46 appearances for the Vicarage Road side last season.
Loach, who is set to feature in tonight's Championship opener against Norwich City, made his Hornets debut at the start of the 2008 season after previous loan spells at lower league clubs in a bid to gain experience.
His stock has continued to rise, and the north London rivals were set to go head-to-head for the player's signature as Harry Redknapp and Arsene Wenger looked to add goalkeeper depth to their sides.
Arsenal's interest has since gone cold, but the Daily Mirror reports that Spurs are ready to move again for the young stopper in a bid to provide competition for Heurelho Gomes and Carlo Cudicini at the club.
