Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli looks set to make the switch from Champions League winners to Premier League title hopefuls Manchester City, according to the player's agent.
Talks have been ongoing between City and the Italian international for quite some time, and now the signs point towards a big money switch to Eastlands.
Balotelli fell out of favour at Inter under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho, with his frustrations boiling over when Balotelli threw his shirt on the ground in a Champions League game after being substituted.
Roberto Mancini has assured fans that he can control the maverick forward.
Indeed, it was City boss Mancini who brought Balotelli to Inter when he was head coach at Nerazzurri in 2006.
The player's agent believes the deal could be completed today, but admits it would be unlikely for him to feature against Tottenham in the Premier League opener on Saturday should the deal be completed today.
It seems likely that Balotelli will be one of the two additions that can be added to Mancini's submitted 23-man squad for the two legged fixture against FC Timisoara in the Europa League.
