West Ham and Everton are set to fight it out for FC Twente star Cheick Tiote, according to various reports.

Managers of both sides sent scouts to the Hammers’ ground to watch the Ivorian play against Italy on Tuesday.

According to ESPN, David Moyes will make a £3 million offer to make him an Everton player while Avram Grant is also very keen.

West Brom have already reportedly had a bid rejected this summer and, with two more established teams now in for him, the 24-year-old will demand a move.

Despite being a part of the Twente team, led by former England boss Steve McClaren, that clinched the Eredivisie title last season and will snub Champions League football in favour of a move to the Premier League.

Tiote said: “I want to move to England, my advisers have told me there is interest for me.”
