Lions extend midfielder loan deal

Millwall have extended Darren Carter's loan spell from Preston until January.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who is on the transfer list at Deepdale, initially joined the Lions on a three-month deal on the eve of the new season.

Carter's debut did not go entirely to plan after he was sent off towards the end of the 3-0 win at Bristol City, but he was back in the squad for Saturday's thumping 4-0 victory over Hull which sent Millwall to the top of the Championship table.
