Notts County Vs Dagenham & Redbridge, Sat 21 Aug 2010

Several Notts County players are nursing knocks ahead of the visit of Dagenham & Redbridge.

Boss Craig Short did not name those concerned but stressed that there were no serious problems.

Short`s side sit bottom of the table after successive 3-0 defeats. He must once again decide whether to make changes or give players the chance to redeem themselves.

John Thompson could replace Krystian Pearce at right-back, while two from Graeme Lee, Mike Edwards and Liam Chilvers will be the centre-half pairing. Pearce would also be an option in the centre should he be replaced at full-back.

Short also has options in the centre of midfield with John Spicer, Ricky Ravenhill and Neal Bishop available.

Dagenham manager John Still will name an unchanged side.

The Daggers have had 10 days off after last weekend`s clash with Exeter was postponed following the death of Grecians striker Adam Stansfield and the extra rest has allowed Gavin Tomlin to return to full fitness.

Tomlin picked up an ankle knock during the opening-day defeat to Sheffield Wednesday but has recovered fully and should partner Paul Benson in attack.

Still has no other injury problems to contend with as the Daggers look to score their first goal in the third tier of the Football League.

Forward Josh Scott could be involved as Still decides whether to suspend him after an off-the-field incident last weekend.
