Chesterfield Vs Hereford United, Sat 21 Aug 2010

Chesterfield manager John Sheridan will hand a debut to new signing Dean Morgan when Hereford visit the b2net Stadium.

Morgan left MK Dons at the end of last season but was snapped up by the Spireites this week and will be in the matchday squad.

Fellow striker Craig Davies completes a three-match ban after his sending off on the opening day of the season so Jack Lester will again be partnered by Drew Talbot in attack.

On-loan Scunthorpe midfielder Ian Morris limped out of the opening-day win over Barnet but could return but veteran defender Rob Page will definitely miss out as he recuperates from an Achilles injury.

Hereford are set to be without O'Neil Thompson.

The Jamaican midfielder has been struggling for fitness since sustaining a groin injury prior to the Bulls 1-0 opening day triumph at Crewe.

Thompson has been held back from first-team training this week and is targeting a return when Rotherham visit Edgar Street on August 28.

Kenny Lunt is pushing for a starting berth after dropping to the bench for last weekend's 0-0 draw against Gillingham.

However, Thompson is manager Simon Davey's only injury concern meaning competition for a starting place will remain fierce.

Davey's men will be the second league visitors to Chesterfield's new b2net Stadium. Jake Jervis and Marc Pugh were on target as the Bulls won the final encounter between the two sides at Saltergate 2-1 last season.
