Juventus will propose a swap deal for David Trezeguet involving Liverpool defemder Sotiris Kyrgiakos, according to the Daily Mail.
The agent of the former French superstar admitted the Reds are after his player and Juve remain keen on Liverpool duo Alberto Aquilani and Kyrgiakos.
With Aquilani certain to head back to Italy on a loan deal, the Old Lady will turn their attentions to brokering a player-plus cash deal for Trezeguet.
Roy Hodgson has already signed Christian Poulsen from the Turin side and wants to partner 32-year-old Trezeguet with Fernando Torres.
Trezeguet’s agent, Antonio Caliendo said: “It is true that Liverpool are interested, but they are not the only team. Zaragoza and Hercules are also interested in him.
“We are evaluating and, after a day of reflection, we will consider what action to take,” he added.
Another player who could be used as bait is Emiliano Insua, after the Argentine defender’s move to Fiorentina fell through.
Insua is surplus to requirements at Anfield, with Daniel Agger being preferred at left-back and Italy looks the most likely destination for him.
