Stockport boss Paul Simpson is still without Jordan Rose and Robbie Williams as he prepares for the visit of Shrewsbury.
The summer signings are nursing injuries and at least two other players are nursing knocks ahead of Simpson`s reunion with his former club.
Those players will be assessed but Rose and Williams look certain to miss out.
Simpson`s men are without a win this season but the County manager insists he has no axe to grind with the club that sacked him in April.
Simpson was shown the door by Shrewsbury towards the end of last season after their League Two play-off hopes were all but ended.
Simpson said: "Saturday is a game we want to win because we're at home, and it's another chance to get three points against a good side."M
Shrewsbury will hope to welcome back Lionel Ainsworth for the match.
The winger missed the 2-1 Carling Cup defeat to Stoke after picking up a groin strain in the Shrews' 1-1 draw with Aldershot last week, however the club expect him to be fit to travel to Edgeley Park.
Matt Harrold could also return to the forward line after serving a one-game suspension following his sending off against the Shots.
Fellow striker Kris Bright may come back into the squad after his recovery from illness but he is short of match fitness so is unlikely to start.
Defender Shane Cansdell-Sheriff will probably continue in Danny O'Donnell's absence as the latter is out with a suspected hernia.
Nathan Elder (knee) remains a long-term injury victim with knee ligament damage.
