Portsmouth midfielder Marc Wilson has joined Stoke in a deal which sees Liam Lawrence and David Kitson go the other way.
The 23-year-old has signed a four-year deal at the Britannia in a player-plus-cash transfer. The arrival of Lawrence and Kitson at Fratton Park adds quality to a Pompey side that currently sit bottom of the Championship.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis said of the duo's exit from the Potters: "The deal has enabled Lawrence and Kitson to move on, giving them a fresh start in their careers and the chance of regular first team football."
He added: "We would like to thank them for their contribution and wish them all the best.
"Liam, in particular, has been a great servant of this club and has played a major part in the success that we have achieved over the past three seasons."
