Tom Craddock is set to make his Oxford debut when Morecambe visit the Kassam Stadium.

Craddock was a deadline-day signing from former Blue Square Premier rivals Luton, where he scored 24 goals in all competitions last season.

The returning James Constable could partner Craddock in attack, while Jack Midson, Matt Green, Mitchell Cole and Alfie Potter are all competing for places.

Midfielder Josh Payne also joined on the last day of the transfer window and made his debut in the Us` Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Aldershot.

The on-loan Doncaster youngster is expected to keep his place in midfield where Simon Heslop and Asa Hall are likely to return.

Rhys Day is still working to overcome a knee injury and Damian Batt is expected to spend a further four weeks on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

Morecambe goalkeeper Barry Roche is expected to be passed fit.

The Shrimps skipper was forced off the field after just eight minutes of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Macclesfield.

He had suffered a recurrence of a niggling ligament injury but assistant boss Mark Lillis said: "He is obviously a very important player for us and we want to do all we can to make sure he can be involved this weekend."

Boss Sammy McIlroy made five changes to the side that drew with Gillingham last weekend and several players are set to return.

McIlroy will check on the fitness of utility player Paul Scott as he looks to shake off a bout of sickness.
