Serdar Tasci is still hoping to secure a ‘dream move’ to Arsenal once the January transfer window opens, according to Talksport.
The Stuttgart centre back has been linked to the Gunners throughout the summer but Arsene Wenger was unwilling to pay the £10 million asking price.
Instead, he brought Laurent Koscienly from Lorient and Sebastien Squillaci from Sevilla over the summer.
However, a deal could still be a possibility, as Arsenal look to replace centre backs Philippe Senderos, William Gallas, Mikael Silvestre and Sol Campbell, who all left the club over the summer.
The 23-year-old’s representatives have made it known that he still wants the move and is hoping that Stuttgart might lower their demands in order to let him leave.
However, North London rivals Tottenham are also interested and will use their Champions League football to lure Tasci to White Hart Lane.
Tasci was a part of Germany’s World Cup squad, after impressing for his club in the Bundesliga and his one appearance was to come on as a 91st minute substitute for Mesut Ozil in the third place play off against Uruguay.
