Rhoys Wiggins was the inspirational figure as Bournemouth completed a 3-0 win over Dagenham at Dean Court.
The Wales Under-21 international created both of Bournemouth's first-half strikes before capping a fine individual performance with his first league goal.
Despite having scored 13 times in their previous four matches, Bournemouth lacked fluency for long periods of the first half, but once Jason Pearce fired them in front eight minutes before the break, there was little doubt about the eventual outcome.
Pearce stabbed the Cherries in front after Dagenham had failed to clear Wiggins' corner.
Five minutes later the Welshman switched wings, delivering a pinpoint cross for Josh McQuoid to notch his fifth goal in four games.
Bournemouth, now one point off the top of League One, coasted home, with Wiggins getting his reward with Cherries' third goal 10 minutes after the break.
Dagenham seldom looked likely to break their away-day goal drought and have still yet to score a league goal on their travels this season.
