Eagles desperate for a change of fortune

Crystal Palace manager George Burley knows he has to turn around his side's woeful run of form - and quickly.

The Eagles crashed 3-0 at Reading on Saturday, their fourth straight defeat leaving them fourth from bottom in the Championship. Burley had five loan players on show at the Madejski Stadium but knows he does not have the time to let his new-look side get to know each other.

"We've got two home games coming up and we've got to bed the new players in quickly, it's a tough league," he said.

"We've got Portsmouth on Tuesday and then Burnley on Saturday and we need to try to get some results together."
