Arsenal began their Champions League campaign in emphatic style with a Cesc Fabregas-inspired 6-0 thumping of Braga at the Emirates Stadium.

The Spaniard opened with an early penalty before Arsenal raced to a 3-0 half-time lead thanks to Andrey Arshavin's drive and a wonderful goal capped off by the impressive Marouane Chamakh.

Fabregas nodded his second and had an attempt for his third cleared two yards from the line before Carlos Vela added a late double to seal the thrashing.
