League Two frontrunners Torquay were held to a goalless draw by a resolute Stevenage side at Broadhall Way.
The visitors clearly had the better of the chances overall, but Stevenage's defence stood firm and just about deserved a share of the spoils.
High-flying Torquay just about had the better of a goalless first half.
Less than two minutes had gone when Danny Stevens fired a decent shot wide and Martin Gritton also went close with a header, while as the visitors continued to dominate, Chris Robertson saw a shot just about clear the crossbar.
Finally Stevenage battled their way back into the game and Ronnie Henry took aim, but his 20-yard drive flew just wide.
The woodwork denied Torquay shortly after the restart.
Kevin Nicholson fired in a wicked shot from just outside the Stevenage box which rebounded back out off the base of a post.
Late on Stevenage rallied and Stacy Long tried his luck from distance, but his shot flew inches wide.
