Leicester winger Lloyd Dyer has signed a new four-year contract.

Dyer, who turned 28 last week, has made an impressive start to the season and scored the winning goal in the third-round Carling Cup victory over Portsmouth on Tuesday night.

"I really enjoy playing for Leicester City and I'd like to thank the management staff, my colleagues and the supporters," Dyer told the club's official website.

"I hope to repay their faith by playing well for the team and helping to lift us up the division in the process," he added.

Dyer moved to the Walkers Stadium from MK Dons in the summer of 2008. He has started 85 games and scored 16 goals during his time with the Foxes and has started six of the seven Championship games so far this season.
