Hereford will be without experienced midfielder Kenny Lunt as they welcome Southend to Edgar Street for the first part of an important home double-header.
Lunt was shown two yellow cards in last weekend`s heart-wrenching 1-1 draw at Bury, in which the visitors netted an injury-time equaliser, and will now serve a one-match suspension.
Otherwise, manager Simon Davey is expected to name a pretty much unchanged XI from the side who were cruelly denied what would have been only a second win of the season.
Central defender and skipper Janos Kovacs (knee) is not expected to be back in contention for at least another month.
Goalkeeper Dan Connor is progressing well from his hip problem but Saturday is likely to come too soon.
Davey has targeted six points from the visit of Southend and Tuesday`s home clash against Stevenage in order to help propel the Bulls up the table.
Southend manager Paul Sturrock may change his strike-force.
Sturrock has spoken of his desire to sign a striker but hasn't been able to conclude a deal yet so top scorer Barry Corr will keep his place up front.
Matt Patterson and Scott Spencer are pushing for starts with Sturrock's son Blair possibly making way.
Rhys Evans and Adam Bouzid made reserve-team appearances this week and will be hoping Sturrock makes changes to the side that lost 3-2 against Morecambe.
Experienced defender Graham Coughlan also played in the reserves and is desperate for a first-team chance.
On-loan Swindon midfielder Michael Timlin will once again replace the injured Craig Easton (calf).
