Crewe have no new problems ahead of the visit of Macclesfield.

Not one for major changes, boss Dario Gradi could stick with the side that drew with Oxford on Saturday.

Defender Mat Mitchel-King and forward Byron Moore lead they way for recalls should Gradi opt to make a change.

Meanwhile, Bartek Fogler has extended his short-term deal at Alex. The Polish keeper, who has yet to make an appearance for the club, has impressed in reserve-team games and in training. He will stay at Gresty Road until at least the end of October.

That is despite the return of Steve Phillips to full training. Phillips missed all summer after undergoing surgery on both shoulders but is now back in action with the youth team.

However, it may still be several weeks before the former Bristol City keeper is ready for competitive games.

Macclesfield manager Gary Simpson will be without Ricky Sappleton and Richard Butcher.

Sappleton remains unavailable as he continues his recovery from a long-standing knee injury, while the game comes too soon for Butcher who is close to a return following a similar problem.

Midfielder Lewis Chalmers started only his second game for the Silkmen following his summer move in the 3-1 win over Torquay on Saturday and is expected to retain his place as Paul Bolland continues to struggle with a groin problem.

Striker Vinny Mukendi made his return as a second-half substitute against the Gulls following a knee injury and he will be pushing for a starting place along with defender Sam Wedgbury who also came off the bench at the weekend.
