Macclesfield recorded their first home win of the season against a dull Northampton with a 2-0 victory.
Man-of-the-match Matty Hamshaw, returning to the side after injury to Izak Reid, set up both goals with pinpoint corners.
The first after 24 minutes was converted by Hamza Bencherif with a neat cushioned half-volley that slid home at the far post for his second goal since returning from an horrific ankle break.
Hamshaw was again the provider after 70 minutes when centre-back Nat Brown met his deep corner with a powerful downward header for his third of the season.
Resurgent Macc, who have now taken seven points from their last three games, created all the chances with striker Tyrone Barnett heading inches wide in the 10th minute and Ross Draper stabbing a volley past the same upright moments later.
The speedy Emile Sinclair had an appeal for a penalty waved away in the 24th minute as Northampton could muster little but a blast over the bar from Ryan Gilligan.
In the second half Macc were again in control with Bencherif and Barnett going close before Brown sealed the game.
