Boss Billy Davies will look to add experience to his Nottingham Forest squad during the international break.
The Scot insists his young players are not vocal enough on the pitch when it comes to criticising and motivating their team-mates.
"Something this side lacks is that experience, that knowledge of when to show that strength of personality when they need to," said Davies. "They need to be more critical of each other, they need to be more vocal."
He added: "We do not play with enough personality. When I say that, what I mean is the personality to get at each other, to rattle cages when it is required.
"They are young, of course, but they still need to show more character. We need to be able to control each other, to help each other with concentration and discipline.
"You can go right through the side and I don't think we have the players who can provide it. I think we need to bring in that type of player. Bringing in the right experience is what counts now. We need that personality and we will try to do that."
