Barnsley manager Mark Robins is hoping to extend Birmingham striker Garry O'Connor's loan spell at the club.

O'Connor has played in all the Tykes' four matches since arriving at Oakwell at the beginning of last month, scoring one goal, and started alongside Chris Wood, another loanee, in Saturday's home defeat to Cardiff.

"That's Garry's last game because his loan's up on October 7, so that will be up so it's whether I go and do that or we look to do something different," said Robins.

"I need to speak to the owner about that and see what he wants to do, but from my point of view it's become a little bit clearer for me and hopefully we can work during the international break to getting a result against Nottingham Forest next time out."
