Carlisle manager Greg Abbott will hand a late fitness test to striker Francois Zoko ahead of the home clash with Notts County.
Zoko is struggling with a groin injury and missed the midweek penalty shoot-out win against Port Vale in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday.
Craig Curran started alongside Gary Madine against Port Vale, while veteran Jason Price was a second-half substitute and is also in contention.
Lubo Michalik has returned to Leeds for treatment on a hamstring strain so Peter Murphy will continue in central defence, while skipper Paul Thirlwell and fellow midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson are missing again due to respective knee injuries.
Long-term casualty Danny Livesey (groin) is edging closer to a return to first-team action, but will not be included.
Suspensions continue to blight Notts County ahead of the trip.
Alan Judge became the fourth Magpies player in as many games to be sent off during the home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and he begins a three-match suspension.
Fellow midfielder Neal Bishop collected his fifth yellow card of the season in the same game and he will serve a one-match ban.
Ricky Ravenhill served his one-match suspension against the Owls and he comes back into contention while another midfielder, Craig Westcarr could also return after missing out last weekend with a hamstring problem.
If Westcarr does not make it, Luke Hubbins could be in line to make his first league appearance since arriving on loan from Birmingham in August. Striker Ben Burgess is still nursing a calf injury.
