Swansea have signed Middlesbrough forward Marvin Emnes on a month-long loan deal.
Emnes, who can play as a winger on either flank or in attack, trained with Swansea on Monday and is in line to make his debut in Tuesday night's home clash against league leaders QPR.
The 22-year-old signed for Boro from Sparta Rotterdam for £3.2million in the summer of 2008 having impressed in the Eredivisie, but he has struggled to make his mark at the Riverside.
The former Holland Under-21 international has made just 15 league starts and 16 substitute appearances in just over two years, scoring only once - against the Swans at the beginning of last season.
His most recent start came almost a year ago to the day in Gordon Strachan's first match in charge of the north-east club, while he has managed only reserve-team appearances for Middlesbrough this term.
Swans boss Brendan Rodgers will now be hoping the change of scenery in south Wales is just what is needed to kickstart Emnes' career.
