Baggies defender wants more praise

West Brom defender Jonas Olsson believes the Baggies have not been given enough credit for their achievements in the Barclays Premier League this season.

Roberto Di Matteo's team have lost only two of their first eight matches following promotion from the Championship, which have included clashes with the biggest names.

West Brom's most impressive result came at the Emirates, where they beat Arsenal 3-2, while Saturday's 2-2 draw with Manchester United left them in sixth place.

"It's one thing to do it in the Championship but another thing to do it in the Premier League against the best players in the world," Olsson told West Brom's official website.

"That shows morale and team spirit and shows we are very confident at the moment.

"We now have 12 points after eight games and we deserve every point we've got so far. We are not going to apologise for where we are.

"We deserve to be where we are and we're looking forward to trying to get another good result against Fulham on Saturday.

"I am a little bit sick of every time we get a good result, everybody talking about United not having a good day, Arsenal not having a good day and Spurs not having a good day.

"I think people have to give some credit to us as well because we have done it now week in, week out, against Tottenham, against Liverpool, against Arsenal, against Spurs, and I think people have to look at our performance and say that we did well."
