Sven asks Foxes faithful until christmas

Sven-Goran Eriksson believes it would be unfair to judge his tenure as Leicester manager until after Christmas.

The Swede oversaw a 1-1 draw against Hull in his first game in charge on Saturday.

The result left Leicester languishing in the bottom three of the Championship, but Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury: "Of course, people will start judging me now but that is football. How long is it to Christmas, two months? I hope after Christmas. January is important for us."

However, he also believes it is not impossible to mount a promotion push despite the handicap they face.

Erikson added: "It is tough because we have played 11 games and we are still in the bottom three, but there are 35 games to go and it could be possible (to mount a promotion challenge)."
