Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has denied there is a chance he could swap clubs with Wayne Rooney during the January transfer window.
In the wake of the Manchester United talisman's announcement that he intends to leave the club, Benzema is just one of many big name signings tipped to replace him at the Theatre of Dreams.
While Sir Alex Ferguson is a big admirer of the French forward's talents, the player himself has no intention of leaving the Galactico's anytime soon. "Ferguson is a fantastic coach, but I play for Real Madrid," he said. "I feel more integrated now. My Spanish is better and I understand almost everything. I love Madrid."
Benzema has struggled for first-team opportunities under Jose Mourinho this season, but is not surprised that his club are being linked with the World's best players. "It's only normal that players are linked with Real Madrid. This is a great team," he added - although he is not concerned with the rumours. "Rooney and Llorente are very good, but my job is to work hard and play more."
Benzema's name is the latest in a long list of players being linked to replace Rooney at Old Trafford.
