New Lincoln manager Steve Tilson saw his side fail to score for the sixth time in seven games after a 0-0 draw with Stockport.

Stockport striker George Donnelly came closest to breaking the deadlock with an injury-time shot which was turned round the post by Lincoln keeper Joe Anyon.

Lincoln started the better with winger Albert Jarrett going close with a deflected shot after just six minutes.

Stockport keeper Matt Glennon made a point-blank save to deny Ben Hutchinson two minutes later, and the visitors nearly took the lead after 17 minutes when a Robbie Williams free-kick flew inches wide.

Stockport continued to press, with a downward header from Paul Turnbull bouncing over the Lincoln bar, but County were forced to make a change when defender Danny Swailes was stretchered off after 32 minutes.

A Tom Fisher header forced a good save from Anyon just before half-time, and Adam Watts did well to block a goal-bound shot from Stockport midfielder Adam Griffin after the break.
