Magpies set to unveil new management team

Notts County will unveil their new boss on Thursday after agreeing terms with a new management team.

The League One club will reveal the identity of Craig Short's successor at midday, with a press conference to follow on Friday. Former Notts defender Short was sacked on Sunday just five months into a three-year contract. His departure came following a 2-1 defeat at Colchester that left the club 16th in the table.

Notts have acted swiftly in appointing a replacement, and a statement issued by the club said: "The board have agreed terms with a new management team and an announcement will made at noon tomorrow (Thursday)."

"This follows the departure of former boss Craig Short and his assistant Dave Kevan on Sunday," the statement added.

"A press conference has been arranged for 2.30pm on Friday to present them to the media."
