Stockport manager Paul Simpson will be without Danny Swailes for the visit of bottom-club Hereford.
The defender was stretchered off with a knee injury in County's goalless draw with Lincoln last week and the early signs suggest he may have damaged his cruciate ligaments and could be sidelined for some time.
Jordan Rose replaced Swailes after half an hour at Sincil Bank and will continue to operate in the Hatters' defence.
Goalkeeper Matt Glennon and midfielder Jake Simpson have both signed new contracts and will keep their places in Simpson's starting line-up, while on-loan Burnley striker Wes Fletcher has recovered from a calf injury and will start in attack.
Owain Fon Williams is not available for selection after joining Bury on a month-long loan deal.
Guillem Bauza is rated 50/50 as Jamie Pitman continues his caretaker manager role for Hereford.
Pitman was promoted from physio to stand-in boss in the wake of Simon Davey`s sacking at the start of the month, but his overall performance has impressed the powers that be at Edgar Street so much that he was on Friday given an extended stay until the end of the year with a view to his full-time appointment should things continue to go well.
And Pitman will be desperate to have striker Bauza available at Edgeley Park as he looks to recover from a groin strain.
Otherwise, goalkeeper Dan Connor (hip) remains the only player on the treatment table as he continues his long-term rehabilitation, with no date set for his return.
The Bulls have taken five points from a possible nine since Pitman took the reins and a positive result against the Hatters could take them off the foot of the Football League for the first time since mid-September.
