Manager John Sheridan declared himself pleased after Chesterfield ensured they remained top of npower League Two courtesy of a goalless draw at Stevenage.
Despite both sides enjoying chances at Broadhall Way, neither could get an all-important breakthrough and claim all three points.
``Stevenage are not flying high in the table for nothing,'' he said. ``They're a quality outfit with quality players right across the park."
He added: ``They made it tough for us on numerous occasions, just as we expected beforehand, but the players have stuck at their tasks individually and collectively.
``We played some terrific football at times. Passing was good, as was the movement, even when we weren't in possession.
``That keeps our little run going, but it's still about us trying to build on this result again and about taking things further forward."
