Chesterfield strengthened their position at the top of League Two as Craig Davies and Danny Whitaker both scored twice in their 5-2 win at home to Accrington.

The win moved them three points clear of second-placed Port Vale, who were held to a goalless draw at Burton, while Bury in third lost 1-0 at home to Bradford, Omar Daley's penalty proving the winner.

Shrewsbury closed to within a point of the automatic promotion places thanks to a 2-1 win at home to Crewe, Mark Wright snatching the points in the 90th minute with his second of the game.

Wycombe moved up to fifth on the back of a 2-0 win at Gillingham, moving above Rotherham who had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to Macclesfield.

Adam Le Fondre levelled for the hosts in the 85th minute, a minute after they fell behind.

Torquay moved into the final play-off spot after recording a 2-0 win at Oxford, despite having Lloyd Macklin sent off in the 17th minute.

They replaced Cheltenham, whose match at home to Southend had to be abandoned after 66 minutes after a serious electrical fault caused a second floodlight to lose power. Cheltenham were 1-0 up at the time.

Elsewhere, Phil Jevons scored a hat-trick as Morecambe hammered Stockport 5-0, Stevenage won 3-0 at basement boys Barnet, Hereford and Aldershot drew 2-2 and Northampton won 2-0 at Lincoln.
