Poole's Pool loan extended

Hartlepool have extended the loan deal of Manchester City forward James Poole for a further month.

The 20-year-old, who has already spent a month at Victoria Park, has so far made two appearances from the bench.

Poole has been cleared by City to play in Pools FA Cup First Round home clash with Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.

Meanwhile, United caretaker manager Mick Wadsworth has confirmed that he expects to complete the loan signing of another Premier League goalkeeper on Monday to provide increased competition for current number one, Blackburn loanee Jake Kean.
