Gills land Kennedy

Gillingham have signed Swindon full-back Callum Kennedy on an initial one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at the County Ground, has made 20 appearances for the Robins but has featured only three times this season.

Gills manager Andy Hessenthaler was keen to bolster his squad following the 2-0 defeat to Dover in the FA Cup on Saturday and Kennedy could be handed his first start against Crewe at the weekend in the place of John Nutter who is set to miss the game through suspension.

He will initially stay at the Priestfield until the home clash with Rotherham on December 4.
