MK Dons, who had lost seven of their last eight away games before their trip to 10-man Brentford, halted their depressing run with a 2-0 npower League One victory.

Mathias Doumbe and Angelo Balanta were on target for the away side before Brentford had Pin Balkestein sent off in the 88th minute for a second yellow card.

Bristol Rovers also had a man sent off as they crashed 3-0 at home to Leyton Orient.

Goals from Dean Cox and Alex Revell put the Londoners in front before Rovers' Carl Regan received his marching orders in the 35th minute and Revell grabbed his second goal after the break.

Sheffield Wednesday gained a 2-0 win over Rochdale thanks to goals from Giles Coke and Clinton Morrison, while Swindon beat Colchester 2-1 with efforts from Thomas Dossevi and Charlie Austin, with Ashley Vincent scoring for the visitors.

Tranmere climbed out of the bottom four after a 1-0 win at home to Plymouth - Dale Jennings got the all-important goal - at the expense of Notts County, who lost 3-1 at Exeter.

Jamie Cureton, Richard Logan and Ryan Harley scored for Exeter, with Lee Hughes grabbing County's goal.

In the basement battle Yeovil lost 3-1 at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Dagenham took the lead through Will Antwi's first goal in a year, Andrew Williams equalised just before half-time but two late goals from Abu Ogogo and Medy Elito sealed it for the visitors.
