Two goals from Adam Le Fondre guided Rotherham to a 2-1 victory over Oxford and fifth place in the npower League Two table, Simon Clist scoring the visitors' goal.

Torquay occupy the final play-off spot although they will be disappointed to have only claimed a 1-1 draw against bottom side Barnet.

Elliot Benyon's close-range goal in the 11th minute gave the Gulls a great start before Mark Byrne headed an equaliser less than 10 minutes later.

The valuable point sees Barnet two points behind second-bottom Hereford, who drew 1-1 with Cheltenham.

Mathieu Manset headed the hosts ahead on half-time before Jeff Goulding levelled in the 65th minute.

The Bulls are now level on points with Gillingham who lost 3-1 at home to Crewe.

The Gills' task became harder when Callum Davies was sent off for a foul on Clayton Donaldson with more than an hour remaining.

Byron Moore and Donaldson put Alex 2-0 up before Chris Whelpdale pulled one back just after half-time, but Shaun Miller sealed victory.

Goals by Moses Swaibu and Ashley Grimes guided Lincoln to a vital 2-1 victory at Morecambe, Macclesfield beat Aldershot 2-0 and Southend and Accrington shared a 1-1 draw.
