Nurnberg midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has spoken about how he's is flattered by the rumours linking him with Premier League giants Manchester United.
The midfielder, who currently plays for the Under-21 German squad, has started to attract attention from a variety of leading European football clubs, including Manchester United.
Despite the 20-year-old being in contract with his current club until the Summer of 2012, rumours are already starting to circulate about a possible move away from Germany.
Gundogan spoke to Sportinformationsdienst about this new found star status:
"I admit it is not that easy to play down seeing yourself linked to Manchester United in newspapers, but I feel I am doing okay with that.
"I am focused on doing well in my games for Nurnberg and do not give that much away on which club is actually looking at me.
"Playing at Nurnberg is a good thing for me to develop further as a player, but of course, playing for Manchester United would be a great thing to do one day."
Sir Alex Ferguson could be looking to strengthen the Manchester United midfield, providing a boost to the Red Devils' chances of winning any silverware at Old Trafford.
